Forwarder Air

The position 

We are looking for an Export Forwarder for our Air Freight location at Schiphol. As a Forwarder you provide the best Air Freight solutions for our customers.

You will get started with the following activities:

• Setting up, handling and administrative processing of air freight shipments
• Developing and maintaining contacts with potential and existing internal customers as well as with foreign branches and partners regarding transports
• Communication with customers about shipments, shortages, delays, damage
• Drawing up and communicating rates and making price agreements with customers for ad hoc shipments
• Issuing quotations and following them up
• Invoicing of shipments and the associated cost control
• Administrative handling and passing on papers, documents and information to other departments, agents and branches

Requirements 

• Minimum MBO working and thinking level
• Experience as an (assistant) forwarder in air freight
• Good communication and commercial skills
• Solution-oriented and perseverance
• Flexibility regarding working hours
• Good command of the English language, spoken and written. Dutch is an advantage
