Worked Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30
Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 per year
What Will You Be Doing?
As an Aerospace Imports Senior Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Shipment Coordination: Booking shipments through Tango and liaising closely with local customs authorities to facilitate the import process.
- Customs Clearance: Retrieving clearance information from the Portal in SharePoint and enabling customs clearance using Sequoia, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Daily Operations: Managing the daily pending tray, overseeing event control, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Issue Resolution: Investigating and responding to all queries and complaints from both the branch and overseas, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Business Support: Supporting the branch with new business initiatives, ensuring all processes align with company goals.
- Communication: Maintaining proactive communication with the branch and overseas counterparts to ensure smooth operations and avoid any delays or issues.
- Customs Compliance: Keeping the customs tariff up to date, completing post-clearance amendments, and ensuring all documentation is filed accurately.

* Previous Experience in the Industry: You have a strong background in aerospace logistics or a related field, with hands-on experience in import operations and customs clearance processes.
* Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks, from managing shipments to handling documentation and compliance requirements.
* Effective Communication Skills: You excel in both written and verbal communication, enabling you to interact confidently with customs authorities, branch teams, and overseas partners.
* Problem-Solving Ability: You are resourceful and proactive in identifying issues, investigating complaints, and implementing effective solutions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
