    Promote Ocean freight business to new SME customers within the assigned sales territory by utilizing selected remote sales channels. Convert pre-qualified leads into opportunities, create leads for overseas controlled business and conduct customer segmentation. Tasks & Responsibilities: •Drive the Ocean freight SME volume growth. •Promote and sell DB Schenker Ocean Freight products. •Coordinate and support local RFQs and spot requests. •Establish first contact with prospects to qualify leads. •Transform leads into opportunities including potential analysis. •Conduct customer segmentation (Indoor vs Outdoor Field Sales). •Enter data in CRM as stipulated in the corporate CRM SME guidelines. •Handover qualified leads to Outdoor Field Sales. •Manage indoor sales opportunity pipeline (actual data and stages, right size). •Remotely sell, quote and close new SME Ocean business. •Form professional and appropriate relationships with decision makers. •Provide feedback on potential process improvements. •Keep up to date with local market trends. •Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers. •Actively creating sales leads for overseas controlled business and hand over identified leads to other BUs. •Coordination with customer service, e.g. on quotations, booking follow-ups and business / account handover.

    Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: This is an intermediate level position. Solid interpersonal and analytical skills required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. Generally, prefer 1-3 years of related experience. We are an equal opportunity employer.
