Intern - Intercontinental Supply Chain Solutions APAC

Intercontinental Supply Chain Solutions (ISC) team are the growth engine of DB Schenker focusing on large ocean customers. We accelerate time-2-value for our customers through proven methodology to increase visibility and control. This is supported by our long-term and strategic partnership with Infor Nexus which is fully integrated into our IT ecosystem and unlocks the Supply Chain Journey for customers. We are customer-centric, value-driven and partnership-oriented. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our team and contribute to our solution development, data analytics and engineering modeling. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the analysis of reports and process to identify patterns and tackle customers supply chain pain points. 
• Build Optimization/Simulation models by including relevant components, defining constraints and assumptions, what-if analysis and validation. 
• Document the modeling process, including data sources, assumptions, and methodologies, to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
• Innovate and support the development and implementation of advanced supply chain solutions (e.g. consolidation planning). 
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives. 
• Collaborate with ISC APAC team as well as work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial System Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in data analysis, visualization and automation tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Automate, etc). 

Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
