Information & Surcharges

As a result of the fluctuating oil prices, an oil surcharge is imposed on the freight price, which is adjusted according to an average price of the oil.

As a consequence of the EU's mobility package, DB Schenker has introduced a mobility package surcharge on international transports effective from 14 February 2022.

The surcharge is valid until September 30, 2024, after which it will be included in the freight.

Several countries have introduced road taxes over the years. These are charged for driving on the motorways as well as for the use of specific road sections with high construction and maintenance costs, sections with a high environmental impact and bridges and tunnels.

We reserve the right to adjust road taxes as individual countries decide to regulate their rates.

When you pay an environmental fee, you help to:

• cover environmental charges for hauliers,
• cover environmental costs at terminals, storage hotels and container suppliers,
• contribute to the maintenance of emission calculators and reports
• limit CO2 emissions
• cover costs for the development of climate-friendly solutions and thus contribute to the green transition.

The environmental contribution amounts to: DKK 3.5%, however max. DKK 150 per shipment.

An international metropolitan surcharge related to collection and distribution in the cities below. The Location surcharge per postcode table on the DB Schenker website shows all postcodes that are subject to an International Metropolitan Surcharge.
