Responsible for timely review and processing of documents for the arrival and removal of goods from an FTZ, operating within government rules and regulations. Interface with internal and external customers, freight forwarders, customs officers, and other functional areas to ensure proper customs admission and entry for goods into and out of a foreign trade zone. Assist in other FTZ functions as required.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Follow the guidelines for compliance to the CBP regulations 19 CFR 146, CBP’s FTZ operating manual, and the Foreign-Trade Zones Board Regulations.
• Input data to create and submit appropriate customs declarations related to inbonds, permits to transfer, admissions, and entries.
• Create and maintain files in accordance with document retention policies.
• Validate commercial documentation against shipment receipts to determine shortages or overages and resolve with CBP.
• Manage daily inventory reconciliation processes and analyze, research, and resolve all discrepancies.
• Prepare reports for all shortage/overage reporting to CBP within regulatory guidelines.
• Concur admissions within FTZ software.
• Prepare and submit weekly 3461 and 7501.
• Maintain all inventory control and record keeping systems, logs, and files.
• Utilize company and third-party software to facilitate the clearance and movement of cargo.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to facilitate the release of cargo or the movement of cargo in and out of the FTZ.
• Process billing invoices for FTZ services.
• Support FTZ Administrators.
• Follow DB Schenker’s Global Healthcare Quality Management System for GDP products when required.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
