DB Schenker announces new state-of-the-art terminal investment in Estonia
Fifth DB Schenker location in Estonia • Strengthening the land network and boosting operational capacity • Sustainable solutions in line with BREEAM certification standards
Tallin, 27 January 2025 – DB Schenker, one of the global leaders in logistics and supply chain management, has officially started construction on its latest significant investment in Estonia – a new terminal located in Vaela, Kiili municipality, Harju county. The new facility, which will cover 6,000 m² with 62 docks and a 650 m² office building, is set to enhance DB Schenker’s operational capabilities in the region.
Strategically situated just 20 km from Tallinn’s harbor and city center and 15 km from the airport, the location provides excellent connectivity to major highways and key transportation routes. The terminal is expected to open in Q1 2026 and will play a crucial role in DB Schenker's efforts to strengthen its land network in Estonia and across the Baltic region.
On behalf of DB Schenker project is managed by Colliers, a real estate agency and general contractor of the investment are companies OÜ Ehitustrust and GRIK Ehitus OÜ.

With a total investment of approximately €15 million, the new terminal demonstrates DB Schenker’s dedication to providing state-of-the-art logistics solutions while focusing on sustainability. The building will be constructed in compliance with BREEAM certification standards and will incorporate green technologies, such as solar panels and a rainwater collection system used for terminal floor cleaning. These efforts reflect the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and meeting sustainability goals.
DB Schenker is already well established in Estonia, with operations in Tallinn, Tartu, Jõhvi, and Pärnu. The new terminal will further strengthen the company's ability to meet the growing demand for logistics services the Baltic region.
