Claim
The basis for the initiation of the claim process is an official claim notification addressed to Schenker Sp. z o.o.
Detailed description of the claim process, the scope of responsibility of Schenker Sp. z o.o. and the rules for processing claims are described in the Terms and Conditions of Service and Terms and Conditions of Domestic Service. Claims should be submitted as soon as possible, bearing in mind the statutory limitation periods for claims.
The preferred form of filing a claim is to use one of the dedicated claim handling IT systems provided by Schenker.

Remember that the claim report should always include the following details:
- the full name of the entity filing the claim or the details of the person filing the claim and the address,
- the title of the claim with justification,
- the subject of the claim,
- the shipment reference number assigned by DB SCHENKER or type and number of shipping document,
- the amount of the claim,
- current bank account number,
- list of attached documents indicated below.
List of documents that should be attached to the claim:
- the original bill of lading or other shipping document, or a certified copy thereof;
- damage report, if any,
- the original commercial invoice or a certified copy of the invoice or other document showing the value of the shipment in accordance with the applicable law,
- specification to the invoice (packing list), which is attached to the commercial invoice, specifying the type of goods, quantity, weight of packages,
- in addition, in the case of damage to the shipment, documents showing the extent and type of damage and the possibility of minimising it,
- photo documentation confirming the extent of the damage with the date and time they were taken,
- assignment of rights when the entity filing the claim is not the only claimant.
