    Leads, directs and supports regional and country level implementation teams to ensure new business for existing and new customers is implemented successfully, meeting internal and external expectations. Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for customer implementations and ensuring implementation personnel are trained and equipped to comply. Responsible for client retention through solutions design for “at-risk” customers. Tasks & Responsibilities: • Responsible for direct management of US and Regional implementation personnel and, indirectly, implementation personnel in all other Region Americas countries (Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, USA & Venezuela. • Actively manage assignment of resources to participate in and contribute to country, regional or global business implementations • Partner with Tender Management and Airfreight Operations to validate and/or provide input to pricing/costing for operational processing, reporting and customer management during the 'COP' phase of "Pricing and Documentation" to be included in customer's RFQ templates. o Manage Country and Regional Implementation personnel that act as operational "Gatekeeper" and Implementation Lead for commercial opportunities channeled through, and as defined in/for, DB Schenker's 'COP', including the following tasks: o Identify, calculate and document negative impact of customer requirements on operational productivity and/or additional costs and operating processing risks related to the customer’s requirements. o Lead 'COP' Customer and DB Schenker stakeholders as "Regional Project Manager" and escalation point during the 'COP' phases of "Project Initiation", "Detailed Planning", "Project Realization" and "Project Closing" o Review, validate and document gaps between customer business requirements and DB Schenker air freight standard operational processes o Validate and document operational processes for customer requirements not covered by DB Schenker's standard air freight operational processes, partnering with Air Freight Operations and Branch management for solution design, procedures development and creation of training materials. o Provide operational expectations to stakeholders during the 'COP' phase of "Solution Design" o Ensure operations personnel are fully trained to customer requirements • Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills in implementation decisions with substantial fiscal impact to company • Leads the Client Data Solutions team to ensure solutions are designed to meet customer expectations while having the least impact on operational performance and are within the customer’s expectation • Conduct regular meetings with countries within the Region and design operational solutions in close cooperation with the countries and implementation managers • Design operational guidelines, SOPs and 'reports/dashboards' in close collaboration with Country counterparts • Escalate process and handling deviations/issues to Management stakeholders • Design operational solutions for customer’s experiencing issues which places business “at risk” to retain business and avoid revenue loss. Reduce breakage and monitor performance using internal reports • Partner with sales management and conduct training sessions with Field, Corporate, Regional, Global and Flagship Sales personnel to educate them on the Air Freight Implementation Process. Deliverables & Achievables: • Partners with sales and operations management teams to ensure a successful business implementation process which focuses on ease of use for internal and external customers • Partners with IT, Operations and Product Management to develop and implement solutions that meet customers needs and promotes customer satisfaction while minimizing internal Schenker spend and optimizes our profitability • Leads both regional and country implementation teams to ensure proper assignment of projects, monitoring deliverables, while ensuring proper tools are provided to meet Schenker and Client demand • Focuses on quality and standardization by governing region on use of events, reference codes and charge codes • Contributes to revenue retention by supporting operations solutions design for “at-risk” customers avoiding business loss
    Deliverables & Achievables: • Partners with sales and operations management teams to ensure a successful business implementation process which focuses on ease of use for internal and external customers • Partners with IT, Operations and Product Management to develop and implement solutions that meet customers needs and promotes customer satisfaction while minimizing internal Schenker spend and optimizes our profitability • Leads both regional and country implementation teams to ensure proper assignment of projects, monitoring deliverables, while ensuring proper tools are provided to meet Schenker and Client demand • Focuses on quality and standardization by governing region on use of events, reference codes and charge codes • Contributes to revenue retention by supporting operations solutions design for “at-risk” customers avoiding business loss Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills • Must demonstrate ability to think strategically and formulate strategic plans to drive cross-functional initiatives • Strong, influential leader that excels in collaboration and team building and driving consensus among personnel with diverse roles. • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills to develop strong working relationships at all levels/geographies • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication, management, and strategic skills required • Understanding of and experience in freight forwarding industry • Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Advanced degree or equivalent preferred. Generally, prefer 6 years of related management experience. Bilingual: English and Spanish language desired, but not required. The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
