Sr. Manager, Land Customer Operations

This position is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a Logistics area, including operations, sales, customer services. This position will develop superior levels of customer relations, and promote the sales and service culture of the company. Tasks & Responsibilities: • Provide leadership for daily operational, sales and marketing activities for your branch. • Responsible for current business retention and new business growth in your branch. • Recruit, train, and develop all team members needed for the effective operation of your branch. • Responsible for meeting monthly and annual EBIT goals. • Achieve individual and regional sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships. • Provide leadership, training and supervision; delegates day to day operations to office personnel. • Advanced communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem solving skills

Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: • BA in Business Management, Logistics or like discipline, or combination of education and logistics expertise, or customer service/sales experience. • Minimum of five years of freight brokerage experience. • Detailed knowledge of OTR Transportation including van, refrigerated, flatbed, and specialized freight • Full understanding of quoting current and speculative rates for any type of equipment, commodity, and service type that originates and delivers anywhere in the continental United States • Able to coach, guide, and motivate staff. • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. • Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
