Main responsibilities

Responsible

• generating global operational reports and analysis for the DB Schenker business units and central functions.
• assessing and preparing proper commenting and recommendations to Stakeholders for improving the overall result based on financial chances and risks.
• acting promptly when issues to data quality or accuracy of reported figures is identified.
• safeguarding and assurring governance of cost center structures.
• coordinating planning processes (Forecasts, Budget and MTP) and ensuring detailed plans considering specific target settings and strategic directives.
• tracking and developing further performance KPIs, internal and external benchmarks in close alignment with the organizational counterparts.
• ensuring and enforcing governance to global controlling policies and guidelines.

Accountable:

• to assure accuracy and data quality of reported figures.
• developing tailored made analysis and business performance assessments.

Consulted

• for the decision making process by providing robust analysis and benchmarks to the financial performance to support global controlling, business units and central functions in regular reporting.
• for planning (Forecast, Budget, mid-term), monthly reporting, KPI definition/tracking, setup/ tracking of operational measures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

*University degree in business administration, in particular in the areas Controlling, Finance and/or Accounting (MBA in Finance related areas is a plus)

*5+ years in multiple financial like roles (preferrably in controlling)

*Ideally experience in the Logistics Industry Controlling (Air, Ocean and Land Freight & Warehouse Logistics) and/or Central Functions Controlling.

*Mandatory proficiency in English language (German language knowledge is a plus)

*Proficiency in MS Office Tools and DBS System (SAP BI, SAC and TM1-Cognos)

*Ideally job experience within international business environment

*Good prioritization of topics

*Focused on continuous improvement of processes, structures, tools

*Good communication skills and assertive attitude

*Customer oriented and Quality focuse

Coordinates with hands-on the generation of global reports and provides accurate and relevant financial analysis to all stakeholders. Is a key player in ensuring governance of global-wide controlling processes (systems, methods, KPI's and tools) and establishes world best practices ensuring know-how transfer across the organization.
