Junior Operational Controller

What will you do?

As junior Operational Controller you will take care of the complete financial management of the branch:

• You will process incoming invoices and ensure that they are posted to the correct cost centers.
• You take care of the outgoing invoicing of our warehousing activities to our customers and collect data from various operational systems to combine them in Excel.
• You work closely with the operation to continuously improve the financial handling of the processes
• You take care of the monthly closing where all costs and revenues are brought together in the P/L. For this you work together with colleagues from the administration and head office
• You support and are a sparring partner for the management
• You concretize the budget and the rolling forecast with substantiated insight into the expected financial results on short and longer term
• You analyze the financial results against the previously set budget. You also draw up plans to improve the financial result and monitor progress.
• You develop and prepare periodic reports on operational volumes and activities, performance, KPIs and quality and you actively propose improvements.

What do we ask?

• You have a (recently) completed Bachelor's degree in business economics/accountancy or similar.
• You possibly have experience in a financial function
• You have the ambition to develop yourself to Operational Controller, but are currently mainly interested in understanding and improving the underlying invoicing processes
• You have a hands-on mentality
• You have excellent knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP and Power-BI is an advantage.
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing

For one of our Contract Logistics locations in Tilburg we are looking for a junior Operational Controller who likes a dynamic work environment, but can work very well on his own.

It will be up to you to further streamline the processes and ensure a good structure in the coming years. In this role you will be the financial point of contact within the Branch.

For you, invoices, rolling forecasts, budgets and monthly closings are subjects that give you energy. As junior Operational Controller you are in close contact with the local management team. In principle this is a full-time position for 40 hours per week, with the possibility of working partly from home.
