    Job Overview 

    This role is responsible for ensuring and guaranteeing operational excellence by adhering to Ocean Operations processes, utilizing the appropriate tools, and monitoring team performance. The role also focuses on identifying and providing solutions for internal customers to achieve the company’s objectives. Additionally, this position involves executing operational activities within the assigned team.


    What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks) 

    • Determine solutions to problems or disputes between customers, suppliers, offices or different areas involved in the process of the teams under his/her control, in order to respond with the least risk to the organization and/or customers.
    • Ensure that the teams under his/her responsibility are in compliance with their daily activities in a timely manner.
    • Assist in the training of our tools and provide support to the operational team. Ensure that the team correctly uses the digitalization and optimization tools to achieve the standardization and optimization of ocean operations processes.
    • Evaluate the performance of the people in charge together with their direct reports and provide feedback in order to obtain results with greater productivity from the employees during the execution of their activities.
    • Run weekly reports to determine the productivity of the assigned teams and to obtain measurements that show the effectiveness of the teams.
    • Perform operational activities at no more than 50% of the established productivity target of the assigned team.
    • Review the workload of assigned team members on a monthly basis to determine if reassignments are necessary and to ensure that work is evenly distributed.
    • Maintain updated SOPs for each assigned team in accordance with changes that may occur over time.

    What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes) 

    • Business English required 
    • Minimum of 5 years in maritime logistics, freight forwarding, or related roles, with experience leading teams.
    • Knowledge of U.S. Customs requirements, of Freight Forwarding / Supply Chain Logistics 
    • Understanding of carriers’ service and routing 
    • Must be detail oriented and accurate when processing documentation
