Transport Administrator
Location: Nuneaton
Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon-Fri between the hours of 13:00-21:00/14:00-22:00 flexible.
Salary: £23k-£24k (DOE)
Join our team as a Transport Administrator in Nuneaton! You’ll support our land transport department, assisting planners, drivers, and occasionally customers.
What will you be doing?
- Liaise with drivers to ensure smooth operations.
- Support drivers on the road.
- Handle transport calls with the AM/PM Planner.
- Prioritise and monitor premium and air freight deliveries.
- Build strong relationships with business services and terminal teams.
- Cross-reference deliveries and collections in our systems.
- Monitor overnight collections and provide reports.
- Track high-priority freight and manage transport emails.
- Assist 20-40 delivery bookings daily, speaking directly with customers by phone or email.
- Check unloading lists for discrepancies and update relevant teams.
- Chase PODs from previous days and update systems.
- Conduct driver debriefs and print paperwork for drivers and terminal staff.
About You:
We’re looking for a motivated individual eager to learn. While experience in the industry is a plus, it’s not essential. Key traits include:
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and solve problems.
- Excellent relationship-building skills across all business levels.
