    Business Development Manager - Airfreight


    Are you looking to make a real impact in your career? Ready to join a dynamic and global logistics network? We are looking for a proven sales professional to join our Air Freight team as a Business Development Manager. 


    Salary: Competitive + car allowance + bonus + benefits


    Location: Manchester. This role will be based between home and office. This role will also involve regular travel to visit clients in the region.


    What You Will Be Doing?


    • Develop a robust air freight sales pipeline across key sectors
    • Identify and pursue new air freight business opportunities through market research and proactive outreach.
    • Manage enquiries, RFQs, and tenders from inception to conclusion.
    • Collaborate with the Air Product team to craft customer-centric value propositions.
    • Contribute to the strategic growth of our air business unit in the UK.
    • Present compelling, value-adding solutions aligned with DB Schenker's standards.
    • Ensure new business is in line with our internal financial guidelines.
    • Develop and maintain influential relationships within potential major clients.

    About You


    • Has a proven sales record in acquiring new business and exceeding sales targets.
    • Possesses a significant background in Air or multi-modal freight forwarding.
    • Has experience in managing tenders leading to significant opportunities.
    • Is skilled at building trust and establishing high-quality relationships with customers.
    • Demonstrates effective presentation skills and excellent written and spoken English.
