Job Overview
At Schenker International S.A. de C.V. we are looking for an IT Software Engineer to be part of our IT team, for our office in Guadalajara, Mexico, who can develop and optimize data flow between systems to ensure seamless integration between various applications and platforms. Your expertise in EDI, EAI and API integrations will play a critical role in supporting efficient business processes.
What will be your challenges?
- Collaborate with global integration project teams to clarify EDI, EAI and API requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
- Work with project owner to establish internal and external connectivity.
- Create and maintain integration documentation and mapping specification upon technical solution.
- Develop new integrations based on the created integration documentation and mapping specification.
- Handle day-to-day application maintenance, by troubleshooting, addressing and documenting issues related to invalid transactions, mapping discrepancies, and other integration-related problems.
- Act as the point of contact for system integration testing and user acceptance testing. Support users by correcting errors and addressing item-related issues.
- Coordinate and execute deployment of integration workflow and mapping into TEST and PROD environments.
- Conduct go-live briefings for the global integration support team and provide support during the warranty period.
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
- Experience with Axway (B2Bi)/Oracle Service Bus/Mulesoft platform or similar integration platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, RosettaNet, and IDoc. is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow tool is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of at least one RDBMS database (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server) is a plus.
- Experience with Communication Protocols like sFTP, FTP, AS2, MQ, HTTPs is a plus.
- Experience with XSLT skills is a plus.
- Knowledge of various data formats: CSV, XML(XSD), JSON etc.
- Experience with REST/SOAP web service/API integration is advantageous.
- Experience in IT project management and coordination.
- Preferred experience in IT project management or coordination in the logistics industry.
- Preferred experience working in a multinational and multicultural setting.
- Preferred experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
- Preferred experience with development tools such as Eclipse, GIT etc.

- Proficient English skills in reading, writing and speaking for clear communication with global teams.
- Ability to analyze complex integration requirements, propose and implement effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot integration issues and optimize workflows.
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
