    Your tasks

    The role is responsible for the management of Area to achieve the strategic targets, including but not limited to the P & L. It is crucial that operations excellence is achieved in line with Corporate and Statutory requirements.

    * Develop, recommend and execute the short-, medium- and long-term business strategies to achieve sustainability in profit and business growth.
    * Carry out analysis of the market and the business trends to ensure competitiveness. Set the annual growth target in consultation with the Product Heads and CEO Greater China.
    * Retain existing business to ensure stability.
    * Diversify and expand product and solution offerings to fuel further growth.
    * Lead business development initiatives to further grow the business.
    * Develop and nurture a strong customer loyalty base through service and operations excellence.
    * Establish close rapport with the relevant authorities and external stakeholders to maintain our brand image and protect our interests.

    * Work with the Product Management teams to have a continuous improvement in operations processes and productivity


    * Harness efficiency through use of systems and headcount utilization.
    * Establish clear targets and accountabilities to the team and ensure alignment with the overall target.
    * Review the Operational KPIs to keep track on productivity growth.


    * Ensure that systems, policies and procedures are in line with Head Office, region and the country directives in terms of Compliance and statutory requirements.

    * Act as a coach and mentor to strengthen the employees' performance and productivity.

    * Define performance standard and conduct performance reviews with the team
    * Motivate the team through various engagement activities
    * Cultivate an environment whereby it is conducive for a cohesive and engaging team to thrive

    Requirements

    Skills Required

    − Strong Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics experience.
    − Work experience in Asia; work experience in China would be preferred.
    − Strategic mindset with the ability to be hands on when the occasion requires
    − Strong result oriented.
    − Excellent inter-personal and customer focused.
    − Good communications and influencing skills achieve the desired outcome.
    − Sound business acumen with the ability to build and maintain a strong team.
    − Analytical and tenacity in execution.
    − Strong emotional intelligence with cross cultural sensitivities.
    − Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage.

    Experience and Qualifications

    − Bachelor degree or equivalent above, preferred in International Trade, Freight and Logistics Management.
    − Minimum of 8-10 years related management experiences in similar position at multinational companies in logistics industry.
