Two days with people acting in humanitarian market – AidEx 2024
AidEx is the largest international aid and disaster relief event.
October 23-24, 2024
AidEx is increasingly becoming the place for humanitarian solutions. People from around the world gather at this event to connect with key players, including field staff and behind-the-scenes contributors. The event features numerous conferences and includes a special exhibition, “Development 2030,” which brings together global development actors working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This exhibition brings together people from all over the world who are dedicated to making a positive impact and finding solutions to support those in need. It addresses a range of critical issues, including access to water, education, hygiene, women’s empowerment, emergency response, healthcare, and deployment support.
Over these two days, participants had the opportunity to attend conferences, explain their core products, exchange ideas about potential local agent partnerships, and gain a better understanding of the challenges in NGO supply chains.
What’s behind ‘humanitarian transport’?
People often assume that sending goods across the world only takes a few hours. However, in the humanitarian sector, there are essential steps that can’t be rushed. This is why major NGOs maintain warehouses in strategic locations worldwide, enabling them to respond quickly and be the first to deliver essential items—food, shelter, water, and more—to those in urgent need nearby.
India – one of the biggest humanitarian suppliers and one of our stronger setup:
Wheather we’re talking about cllothing, shelters, food etc, India is one of the biggest manufacturer in the world. Some compagnies are specialized in humanitarian market and are producing and helping a lot when a conflict, a disaster happens. During this event, our team exchanges a lot with these companies, to offer our logistics services from India across the world, to help people in need.
Ukraine coming to Switzerland
Our Ukrainian colleagues, Kliment, our Contract Logistics Manager, and Olga Shkvar, joined our Aid & Relief logistics team at the event. Together, they showcased our collaborative efforts with various European NGOs, highlighting local distribution and warehousing solutions within Ukraine.
