    Responsibilities

    We are currently looking for a Project Specialist to Fairs, Events and Special Logistics, Cluster Nordics, for a permanent employment. You will be an important part of our Nordic Fairs & Exhibition team, with members in three different countries. The job location is in our Viinikkala, Vantaa office.

    You will work closely together with your colleagues in the Nordics on both Nordic as well as international projects. 


    As a Project Specialist, you will have a focus on project management and operational responsibility for National and International Fairs, Events and Special Logistics for the Cluster Nordics. You will be planning, handling and coordinating shipments from the customers in the Nordics for international shows and events including customs clearance and onsite services. 

    • Operational planning, handling and coordination of international shipment within the Cluster if required onsite supervision
    • Customer Relationship Management
    • Cost acquisition, calculation and preparation of quotations for external customers and the internal network 
    • Internal and external accounting of debtors and creditors
    • Close cooperation with the relevant departments within DB Schenker and external vendors
    • Business Development 
    • Availability to travel if necessary for internationals shows and events

    Qualifications

    To be successful in the role, you need to have have following expertise.

    • Most importanly you are able to work in high stress environment where every project is the most important one and the situations are changing rapidly.
    • Flexible with the working hours when/if an emergency happens
    • Experience in working with clients and suppliers
    • You speak and write fluently Finnish and English. Other Nordic languages are considered a big plus
    • Good IT-skills (You can use Excel. Oulook and you are familiar with TMS systems. If you have experience from AI tools (ChatGPT/Co-pilot) or PowerBi that is considered a plus 
    • You are used to working independently but also in teams.
    • Self-initiative, sociability and confident appearance
    • You are flexible, solution-oriented and used to making decisions.
    • Used to work in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.  
    • Knowledge in logistics, Fairs and Events is considered as an advantage.
