Have you heard about SAF? You need to!

It stands for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and we offer it as part of our solutions for Air Freight customers. Sustainability is at the core of what we do at DB Schenker, and our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint is stronger than ever.

The aviation industry is responsible for around 2-3% of global CO2 emissions, which might not seem like a huge number at first. However, when you consider the rapid growth of air travel and freight, the industry’s environmental impact becomes increasingly significant. At DB Schenker, we recognize the urgent need to address these emissions, not only because it’s the right thing to do but also because our customers, partners, and regulators are demanding it.

The transition to SAF is one of the most promising ways to decarbonize air travel and freight, and the sooner we adopt these fuels on a larger scale, the better positioned we’ll be to meet the ambitious climate targets set by international agreements like the Paris Accord.
