    Job Overview

    This position is responsible for maintaining company equipment in accordance with company standards, while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives.

    What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)

    * Capable of performing most major repairs with limited guidance or supervision.

    * Repair equipment in the most effective manner with a focus on quality and cost control.

    * Perform effective diagnostic routines that identifies root cause and determine best repair method.

    * Provide mentoring and training to less experienced technicians.

    * Conduct all repairs in a manner that emphasizes personal and coworker safety.

    * Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

    * Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.

    * Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.

    * Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.

    Requirements

    What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)

    * High School diploma or equivalent

    * Proficient in computer based maintenance systems

    * Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components

    * Minimum five years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair

    * Constantly positions oneself to operate, inspect, and move up to 60 pounds

    * Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis

    * Detect, recognize and assess printed text and hand written documents
