The Role

We are looking for an experienced Airfreight professional to join our team as Airfreight Gateway Supervisor based in Alexandria, NSW!

This role is responsible for leading the Gateway team, managing inbound and outbound air cargo at the Master Air Waybill/Consol level, ensuring consol optimisation and the commercially effective execution of DB Schenker's preferred carrier program.

Role Highlights

• Act as a strong leader for the Gateway team and Sydney Airfreight branch more broadly
• Manage operational and financial platforms to monitor daily tasks, set priorities and measure performance
• Maintain and develop productive relationships and negotiations with our preferred and developing carriers
• Take operational responsibility for airline terminal import retrievals, export deliveries and empty ULD control
• Handle Healthcare/Pharma shipments as per customer requirements and regulations

The Ideal Candidate

You will have 5+ years of experience in the Airfreight industry and strong understanding of import and export procedures in a regulated environment e.g., TAPA, DAFF, ABF. You will possess excellent customer service skills and the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be target-focused, analytical and demonstrate strong communication skills. A drivers license and ability to participate in rotating early morning roster is required.
