    Your tasks

    Global Data & AI teams are responsible for providing globally standardized, reliable, and scalable IT services for Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Big Data and Customer Tracking & Tracing solutions, which are based on global operational systems, Finance SAP systems and many other data sources. In close collaboration with other teams in the worldwide Schenker organization these IT services are designed and implemented.

    Your Tasks:

    • Manage Schenker's global data catalogue and marketplace using Informatica's Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC)
    • Work with business and technical stakeholders to identify and register domain-driven data assets in the data catalogue
    • Manage the contents of the data catalogue throughout their lifecycle, including business data glossary, business data assets, technical data assets, data policies, data domains
    • Manage the ingestion of technical data assets from data sources
    • Standardize metadata definitions, data policies, data domains to increase data quality
    • Define and implement data governance policies and processes using CDGC, and support their continuous operation
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and enforce data quality standards
    • Ensure data quality through the continuous alignment and refinement of the contents of the data catalogue, supported with data profiling and data cleansing activities
    • Utilize CDGC's data lineage capabilities to report data flows and understand the origin, transformation, and consumption of data assets across Schenker's landscape
    • Leverage data lineage to identify potential data quality issues and improve data trust
    • Leverage CDGC's automation and integration capabilities to streamline data cataloging
    • Manage user access and permissions according to data privacy and data security policies

    Requirements

    Your Profile:

    • Graduate degree in computer science, information systems or related area
    • At least 3 (ideally 5) years of hands-on experience in data management, data governance or related areas
    • Experience with and a deep understanding of data architecture, data modelling, data governance processes, metadata management, reference-data management, and data lifecycle management
    • Hands-on experience working with enterprise architecture or data management or data cataloguing tools and frameworks (such as DMBOK)
    • Hands-on experience with data quality tools and frameworks is a plus
    • Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) is a plus
    • Certification in data management (e.g. CDMP, DCAM, CIMP) and/or enterprise architecture (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate) is a plus
    • Analytical thinking, result-oriented and innovative attitude
    • Strong presentation, moderation, communication and coaching skills with intercultural competence
    • Fluent English (spoken and written at level C1)
    • Logistics know-how is also a plus, but not necessary
