    Your tasks

    The position

    • Functional and/or disciplinary Management of the Sourcing Managers across the clusters, providing oversight and guidance following the Procurement mission & and vision; including monitoring and coordination of the execution of work from the BPO in close collaboration with the central BPO Manager
    • Leading the team by setting goals and continuously monitoring performance. Continuous improvement of the Cluster Procurement organization and contribution to the development of the Global and Regional Procurement functions through measures like training, process improvements, and best-practice sharing
    • Drive the overall target of standardization of sourced goods and services and ensure a significant consolidation of Schenker's indirect supplier portfolio
    • Ensure fact-based decision-making based on spend transparency in alignment with the involved Finance and Business functions
    • Prepare and/or steer the respective Team and Leadership Meetings and Governance bodies on Cluster, Regional or Global Level
    • Ensure compliance with Procurement guidelines and adherence of stakeholders to defined processes and standards, such as eProcure
    • Take P&O decisions related to Procurement staff in close cooperation with Global/Regional Procurement, Cluster CFO, and P&O including recruiting, separating, and salary decisions as well as succession management
    • Act as the single point of contact for the internal customers amongst the Cluster Management functions to ensure guidance and maximum value for business and functions

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Proven experience (2+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
    • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, ideally in a matrix set-up
    • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Key Competencies and Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Procurement processes, best practices, and market trends
    • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
    • Extensive expertise in indirect Procurement and Procurement methodology including processes, systems, and toolboxes
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to utilize data and insights for decision-making and continuous improvement
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels

    Our offer

    The Head of Procurement leads the Cluster Sourcing Managers and defines targets and tender strategies in close alignment with the respective stakeholders. You will be responsible for the Clusters UK/IE and BeNeLux. You will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, ensure the execution of global and regional category strategies, and manage and optimize supplier performance and contracts for the entire spend portfolio in the clusters, whilst also ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
