Principal Accountabilities:
(The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.)
* Responsible for general ledger account balances and posting.
* Monitor and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts including all range of Asset and Liability accounts.
* Prepares and maintains supporting schedules for specific general ledger accounts.
* Research, reconcile and resolve all accounting/ posting discrepancies.
* Auditing and verifying documents related to account analysis.
* Ensure general ledger and balance sheet properly reflect performance according to GAAP and IFRS.
* Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures, including research on proper application of accounting principles.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
* Following internal controls.
* Prepare journal entries.
* Prepare financial analysis to focus management’s attention on potential pitfalls and added-value activities.
* Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting.
* Prepare audit schedules and assist in yearend audits.
* Special Projects/Tasks as needed.
Essential Functions/Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
* This is a Specialist level position.
* Must have Accounting or Finance degree and at least 5-7 years’ experience. Master’s Degree a plus.
* CPA certification preferred, but not required.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proactive problem solving skills.
* Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strategic thinking.
* Strong Computer Skills, SAP experience a plus.
* Ability to meet communicated schedules.
* Ability to function as a team player.
* Self-motivated, high initiative and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.
* Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility.
