Operations Manager
Location: Slough (SL1 4SS)
Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a background in 3PL warehouse environments? We're excited to be searching for an Operations Manager for one of our key clients to join our new 40,000 sqft site in Slough. If you thrive in driving best practices, customer service excellence and growth, this role could be perfect for you.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Enforce adherence to Health and Safety policies and processes.
- Manage and analyse KPI performance reports, addressing any shortfalls.
- Ensure consistent KPI performance for inbound, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
- Investigate and promptly respond to queries and complaints.
- Maintain excellent client relationships.
- Ensure stock integrity and manage perpetual inventory.
- Identify and implement system improvements in collaboration with Business Systems.
- Provide regular management reports, monthly and quarterly customer packs.
- Effectively manage on-site suppliers and monitor operational effectiveness.
- Lead and support operational and administration teams, including development and retention.
- Support the delivery of the divisional budget.
- Ensure effective resource planning in line with volume demands.
- Control contract costs and manage timely invoicing to meet contractual requirements.
About You
- Experience of management within a 3PL warehouse environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of open and closed book accounts.
- Experience in producing reports and statistical analysis.
- Proven track record of driving best practices in warehousing, systems, and QSHE.
- Experience in managing and developing teams.
- Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable about systems.
- Experience in new site implementations would be preferable.
- Experience in site facilities management would be a benefit.
