This position is responsible for the management, administration, and efficient daily operation of USAT Logistics’ business services for account manager teams under their direction. This position will develop superior levels of customer relations, promote the sales and service culture of the company, and ensure adherence to the vision and values of USA Truck.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Daily AM & PM review of key reports (example: cancellations, started and completed revenue/net revenue reports.
• Responsible for the compliance of customer SOP’s, KPI’s and score cards.
• Lead the team to meet and exceed revenue and profit goals by continually strengthening relationships with existing customers and finding and developing new customers.
• Responsible for mentoring Account Managers in prospecting, management, negotiations and relations leading to a strong long-term strategic customer partnerships.
• Oversight for all activities that impact service/contract obligations, and pricing strategies/yield management.
• Maintain working knowledge of a strategic customer business and network.
• On floor liaison to manage communication between carrier and client teams.
• Responsible for attaining monthly team goals which lead to meeting or exceeding branch AOP.
• Provide leadership, training, and supervision; delegates day to day operations to office personnel.
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills:
• BA in Business Management, Logistics or like discipline, or combination of education and logistics expertise, or customer service/sales experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or like experience.
• Proficient in negotiating, sales or broker experience.
• Able to coach, guide, and motivate staff.
• Advanced communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem solving skills
• Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
• Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
• Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
