    The Role
    As Business Development Manager - Ocean Freight, you can have the best of both worlds - autonomy, in a team environment. You'll be trusted to bring your sales expertise all while being supported so that you can achieve your career goals.
    Key Accountabilities:
    • Drive and manage sales opportunities for freight forwarding nationally
    • Develop strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships
    • Identify sales pipelines and support campaigns (e.g. vertical markets, trade lanes, transport, import/export)
    • Manage initiatives on new sales contacts with the marketing & sales teams
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and teams to develop value added solutions
    • Ownership of indoor sales software and technology
    • Contribute to overall plans, strategies, budgets, and performance reviews

    Ideally, you'll have the following:
    • 2+ years of sales/business development experience, ideally in freight forwarding or logisitcs
    • Capable of building genuine long-term relationships with customers
    • Communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups (managers, customers & staff)
    • Flexible, resilient and capable of adapting to changing environments
    • Conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
    • A creative approach and flair for innovation

    Requirements

    Ideally, you'll have the following:
