    To manage the maintenance operations of the Road Assist Department for the purpose of maximizing vehicle uptime, controlling costs, and workforce retention. To identify the best OTR repair solution for USA Truck ‘s tractor and trailer fleet. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES. • Coordinate road repairs and correct repair decisions while focusing on all company and department goals • Road Assist team member’s needs • Utilization of equipment to reduce down time • DOT compliance • Safety • Provide total support for Road Assist team members, inter company operations, and external customers through effective and timely action. • Flexible scheduling, available to work nights and weekends if needed. • Must demonstrate excellent phone and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers
    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS. • Minimum of one year of experience in maintenance repair • High School diploma or equivalent • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred PREFERRED SKILLS. • Good verbal and written communication skills • Good customer service skills • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety. WORKING CONDITIONS This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required to: • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. • Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines. • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects. • Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions. • Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions. • Travel domestically as necessary.
