    •    Reporting to the Head of Department.

    •    Oversee and manage all aspects of shipment forwarding for project cargo, including OOG/OOW cargo, breakbulk, heavy-lifting operations, DG cargo, fastening/lashing, route surveys, etc.

    •    Source the best rates for all shipments and provide feedback on any business opportunities.

    •    Follow up on the preparation and processing of shipments, providing status updates and responding promptly to customer inquiries.

    •    Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately for shipments and plan for timely collection/delivery of shipments with contractors to meet shipping line and/or co-loaders' closing times.

    •    Ensure COD (Cash on Delivery) customers' payments are collected prior to the release of bills of lading or delivery to customers.

    •    Attend to all messages related to operational matters and resolve issues efficiently.

    •    Close all job files promptly to meet month-end closing of accounts.

    •    Follow up on sales leads and enquiries from overseas offices and/or agents.

    •    Establish new services and plan groupage services as directed.

    •    Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior staff/subordinates, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform their operational tasks effectively. Conduct regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.

    •    Develop and implement training programs for subordinates to improve their understanding of specialized logistics operations, including handling OOG/OOW cargo, breakbulk, heavy-lifting, DG cargo, and route surveys.

    •    Manage relationships with key logistics partners and negotiate better terms.

    •    Identify ways to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.

    •    Other duties as may be delegated by the Head of Department from time to time.


    Specific Accountabilities:

    •    Manage relationships with key logistics partners and negotiate better terms.

    •    Reject any vendors not conforming to specifications or invoices that do not align with quotations.

    •    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in handling specialized cargo.

    •    Conduct regular reviews of operational processes to enhance service quality and efficiency.

    •    Monitor and evaluate the performance of junior staff, ensuring operational tasks are carried out accurately and efficiently. Provide hands-on support and guidance to resolve complex operational challenges.


    •    Minimum education requirement: Polytechnic Diploma; Degree holders are preferred.

    •    Certificates in Transport Logistics are an added advantage.

    •    Minimum 8 years of related work experience, with significant experience in handling project cargo and specialized logistics operations.

    •    Proficient in Import/Export Documentation.

    •    Good understanding of carriers, contractors, and shipping procedures.

    •    Extensive experience with OOG/OOW cargo, breakbulk, heavy-lifting operations, DG cargo, fastening/lashing, and route surveys.

    •    Excellent command of written and spoken English.

    •    Self-motivated and customer-oriented.

    •    High endurance and able to work under pressure.

    •    Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

    •    Proven track record in managing complex logistics operations and leading teams.
