    Your tasks

    This position manages all aspects of Regional and Local responses for Quotations and Tenders pertaining to ocean accounts related to the Trade Lane assigned to. The position is responsible to submit complete, accurate and competitive pricing data based on customer requirements. This role serves as liaison between Sales, Tender Management and Product Management in order to support sustainable Trade Growth. Tasks & Responsibilities: * Manages all aspects of responses for local and regional Quotations, RFQs and Tenders requests pertaining to ocean accounts related to the trade lane. * Works within set Ocean MSR Guidelines and National Trucking Rates established * Escalates any potential procurement negotiation required for large/critical volume accounts * Has an understanding of the pricing models and principles used to arrive at collective pricing decisions and business propositions. * Support Branch, Local Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Lane Operations for all questions regarding Quotations, RFQ and Tender requirements. * Maintains all records of completed and pending Quotations, RFQs and Tenders; and monitors hit rate. * Uploads all successful Quotations, RFQs and Tenders awarded onto eQuote to ensure compliance to FMC. * Work with Branch and Trade Lane Operations to review any areas of pricing related to losses on accounts and work through solutions to resolve. * Post Award Quotations, RFQs and Tenders reviews to determine areas of improvement, misalignment with market trends.

    Requirements

    Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills This is a senior level role. Must have strong oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate should be proactive, positive, enthusiastic and self-driven. Requires good knowledge of Ocean Freight and understanding of Supply Chain Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry. Must have commercial and economic awareness, including an awareness of global economic factors that can influence the shipping industry and Ocean market development. Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required. 3-5 years freight industry experience and 2 years in Ocean pricing is required
