Your tasks
- Working on multiple projects as a Lead developer with key responsibilities in development and configuration of SAP Logistics IT-Solutions
- Participating in the project and template implementation process with clients, business analysts and team members
- Developing application specifications. Making recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code with emphasis on EWM and SAP S/4HANA. LES-WM, LES-TRA, MM, SD and are still in long term use
- Defining, developing, or modifying software application modules using software development processes in SAP S/4HANA ERP, SAP EWM
- Derivation and development of technical concepts from functional concepts
- Installation, configuration, customization and integration of third-party software also in auxiliary logistics related tools, middleware and frameworks Design, conception and implementation of generic solutions based on SAP for extension of global solutions
- Conducting developer/unit testing of application modules to ensure application meets specifications
- Supporting in developing system architecture/interfaces
- Documenting functions and changes to new or modified modules, test activities and related area like error handling and backup/recovery procedures
- Analysis of bugs and their elimination in the context of incident and problem management
- Adhering to quality standards and procedures. Reviewing modules for quality assurance and checks compliance with application architecture standards
- Design and implementation of interfaces to customer- or 3rd party systems
- Design, conception and implementation of generic solutions based on SAP for extension of global solutions
- Evaluation of IT systems, feasibility measurement, cost estimation Go-Live support and 3rd level support after closing project
- Support project organization for integration- and user acceptance test
- Provide system documentation for key-user training and operation
Your profile
- College diploma or university degree in the field of Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, or education as software engineer
- In depth development experience in SAP EWM and S/4HANA• Experience in 3+ implementation projects using SAP EWM required
- Analytical Skills, proven ability to assess problems, determine the right toolset for the purpose and ability for self-paced solutioning
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into a technical design specification
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience
- Multiple end-to end project implementations in the SAP EWM area
- Very good hands-on work experience with ABAP Objects programming
- General understanding of contract logistics processes (Inbound, Outbound Picking, Internal, Packing, Shipping, VAS)
- Experience in development and configuration in SAP S/4HANA (and SAP EWM)
- Areas of expertise include: Iinterfaces (API, ALE, IDOC), dialogue transactions, functional upgrades of SAP-Standard (User-Exits, BADI, Extension Points), reporting, printing
- Experience in SAP UI Development - UI5 / SAP Fiori
- English on C1 – business fluent, spoken and written ; German beneficial.
Beneficial, but not a must
- Experience in handling a virtual team
- Experience to handle an on-shore/off-shore model
- Good functional understanding of SAP EWM
- Experience in SAP SD, SAP MM, LES-WM, LES TRA
- Certification in SAP Development
