Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
• Plan, manage and control all aspects of the day-light operation in order to achieve scheduled departures and provide the highest level of service at the lowest cost
• Plan, manage and control the UFO re-forwarding function
• Plan, manage and control the equipment management function which includes, the FAA Repair Station, equipment maintenance and tracking
• Maintain and implement plans to maintain productivity, safety standards, safety, quality, cost control, and employee morale
• Manage and control the ramp functions, including loading of aircraft, weight balance of aircraft, loading documentation, and maintaining power to grounded aircraft
• Manage and control the sort functions, including sorting freight, loading and unloading ULD's and totes, weighing cargo, and controlling mis-shipments
• Verify freight with shipping documents, ensuring proper routing of freight
• Identify and report on damages freight
• Implement and evaluate policies, procedures, and practices relating to the operation
• Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures
• Select, place, and train staff and define specific job assignments. Manage performance to ensure required levels of productivity and organizational objectives are met
Essential Functions:
* Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
* This is a management position.
* Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
* Generally prefer 0-2 years of related supervisory experience.
