    The HSSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing the health, safety, security, and environmental operations across all logistics functions related to cloud-based services and operations. This role requires strong leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, reduce operational risks, and promote a culture of safety within the company’s cloud logistics framework. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, mitigate, and manage health, safety, security, and environmental risks throughout the supply chain. This role sits within the HSSE Function for our APAC business. 


    This HSSE Function has been established to work with the Regional Leads, Cluster HSSE Heads in APAC geographies to deliver alignment and growth of our HSSE portfolio, manage Health and Safety activities across the region, and advise on all safety, health, and welfare matters to ensure compliance with organizational obligations and meet customer requirements.


    About The Job

    This is a regional role reporting to the Commercial Leadership within APAC and working closely with BU management. The primary responsibility is to provide daily management, a remote management approach to ensure a harmonized way of working, Leading, and managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Programs, Systems, and Procedures worldwide to meet the demand of our internal and external customers.  


    In this position, you will drive HSSE in Region APAC: 

    Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Develop and implement health and safety policies specific to logistics operations for cloud-based services and infrastructure.
    • Work with local teams to ensure that all health and safety procedures comply with local, national, and international regulatory requirements. 
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in logistics operations (warehouses, transportation, cloud-based data centers, etc.).
    • Organize safety training for logistics staff, customer operational teams and contractors to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
    • Security Management:
    • Oversee the development of security procedures and protocols to protect both physical and digital assets in cloud logistics operations.
    • Conduct security audits and liaise with external security services to assess potential threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Environmental Management:
    • Establish environmental management policies for the logistics operations, including waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainability. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
    • Incident Management:
    • Lead the investigation and reporting of health, safety, security, and environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions. Work closely with local teams to ensure detailed RCCAs are prepared and presented to customers.
    • Develop and maintain an effective incident response plan for all operations. Serve as an escalation point of contact critical to incident management and regulatory agency audits, and inspections.
    • Work closely with cluster management to improve processes and prevent future incidents.
    • Continuous Improvement:
    • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to implement continuous improvement processes across HSSE initiatives.
    • Monitor and report on key HSSE performance metrics and provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in HSSE management within logistics and cloud-based environments.
    • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams (logistics, IT, HR, etc.), contractors, and external regulatory bodies to ensure HSSE objectives are achieved.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on HSSE performance for senior management, customers and regulatory agencies.



    Specific Accountabilities for this role:

    (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.)

    • Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization.
    • Monitors workers’ compensation program to ensure cost containment, compliance with existing law and to provide adequate service to employees.  Maintains liaison with legal counsel, physicians, hospitals, and clinics and effects contracts for appropriate services.
    • Establishes and maintains a modified work program for employees with restrictions.
    • Schedule and oversee the company’s safety committee.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910 regulations as well as the latest local and state regulatory compliance and will provide interpretation and guidance of these regulations.
    • Manage and be a member of the Emergency Response Team.
    • Establish organization-wide standards and best practices including developing policies, procedures, and workflows for safety.
    • Plan, organize, direct, and control activities to ensure delivery of all Health & Safety plan objectives and targets.
    • Work closely with operations to identify risks and develop and implement a control methodology for these risks.
    • Participate with cross-functional teams to solve health and safety problems within the organization.
    • Ensure regulatory reports are completed accurately reviewed thoroughly and submitted on time.
    • Continuously identifies, assesses, and reduces/eliminates Health & Safety risks.
    • Investigate all accidents and injuries; recommend and/or coordinate corrective actions.
    • Interact with customers on health and safety matters as required.
    • Advise Cluster teams on health and safety issues related to new and existing business to ensure compliance with health and safety items.
    • Provide facility audits and inspections as needed and report findings to senior leadership.



    This position requires the following key attributes:

    • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Logistics Management, or a related field.
    • Certification in HSSE (such as NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001) is preferred.
    • Generally, prefer 10 - 12 years of experience leading a safety program and/or managerial level experience within operations.
    • HSSE experience with Oil & Gas or Cloud logistics operations
    • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required. 
    • Able to work well independently, be self-motivated, and demonstrate excellent communication skills, including report writing, and speaking effectively to company personnel, outside companies, and government agencies to successfully achieve HSSE objectives.
