Tasks & Responsibilities:
§ Monitoring and documentation of participation in compliance trainings on regional level
§ Support regional management in conducting face-to-face trainings
§ Monitoring of implementation by communication and feedback and operation of compliance processes and ensuring corrective action where necessary
§ Inform regional management and Corporate Compliance about identified weaknesses and countermeasures
§ Compliance assessment and monitoring of network partners
§ Initiation of compliance audits and process reviews on regional and local level and evaluation of non-core compliance audit results
§ Information of regional management about detected weaknesses
§ Information and consultation with Corporate Compliance and responsible HR functions
§ Support Country Management of newly acquired entities at implementing the C-PMI (Compliance Post Merger
Integration Plan)
§ Report progress and completion of implementation to Corporate Compliance
§ Regional Sanction list manager is responsible for the trade compliance and the sanction list screening processes on regional level
§ Raise questions from the region towards Corporate Compliance, report problems and solve them in cooperation with Corporate Compliance
§ Advise and assist Country Sanction List Manager before contacting local authorities
§ Advise Corporate Compliance on regional requirements
§ Act as subject matter expert regarding regional and international requirements, and Schenker regulations
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills
* Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required. 30 to 50% travel required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. The candidate should be familiar with US laws. Spanish is a plus.
* At least 3-5 years of compliance, trade compliance, legal, or audit experience required; preferably in the freight-forwarding industry.
