Responsible for the development, administration, and support of U.S. Land driver safety programs, as well as the development, management and oversight of the U.S. Land security programs addressing personnel security, property security, and cargo security.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and maintain skill development programs for the U.S. Land drivers.
• Develop, implement and maintain job injury avoidance and mitigation policies, procedures, and programs for U.S. Land drivers and employees.
• Investigate all job injuries, identify root cause(s), and implement remedial measures.
• Ensure all reporting required by any governmental agencies (state or federal) is timely and accurately completed.
• Develop data, metrics and goals tied to the reduction of the frequency and severity of job injuries for the U.S. Land fleet and employees.
• Partner with the operations teams to reduce the frequency and severity of job injuries for the U.S. Land fleet and employees.
• Conduct regular inspections of U.S. Land terminals and facilities to ensure compliance with all state and federal Health and Safety regulations, identify hazards, and take all necessary remediation actions.
• Oversee the development, maintenance and administration of all security related policies, procedures and programs.
• Lead, develop and oversee the daily activities of the of the U.S. Land Security Manager, the Security Coordinators and all supporting roles.
• Act as liaison with other Schenker safety and security teams to identify best practices and support all corporate-wide security initiatives.
• Partner with the Facilities Management teams to ensure that all necessary safety systems are implemented and maintained at all U.S. Land terminals and the home office.
• Support the U.S. Land Fleet and Logistics team in cargo theft avoidance initiatives.
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: •Bachelor’s Degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience •Management, supervisor and/or leadership experience required •Advanced Knowledge of the OSHA regulations required •Must posses effective communication, negotiation and persuasion skills •Proficient computer skills, with the ability to grasp new programs and new applications We are an equal opportunity employer.
