The Senior National Account Manager’s role is to expand Schenker USA’s business. While the incumbent may have a primary product focus, he/she is expected to market all of Schenker’s International Services to potential and existing clients. The National Account Manager must also be committed to exceeding client expectations while respecting company policies.
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
• Manage account relationships for large and medium customers to ensure excellent customer service is provided
• Support annual sales and profit goals for large and medium customers
• Respond to logistical issues and questions; create innovative and profitable solutions
• Assist in product development efforts based on requirements of large and medium customers
• Determine rates and tariffs as well as establish and negotiate contracts
• Maintain relationships with other departments to ensure continual and consistent service is provided
• Strategically partner with other departments, including Sales, to ensure continual and consistent service is provided
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Generally, prefer 3-5 years of related sales or management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of domestic and international cargo operations required.
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of accounting, logistics, pricing, and informational technology.
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary ranging from $80,000 - $100,000 annually, and a comprehensive benefits package. Our benefits package includes paid time off and paid sick time in the first year, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, disability insurance, and more as described in our benefits guide. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, performance, geography, and internal equity. Benefits may be subject to waiting periods and other terms and conditions.
