Customer Service Specialist (Ocean)
Location: Felixstowe
Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week (9:00-17:30 during training, with possible adjustment to 7:00-15:30 after, shared hours with other team members)

We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Intermodal Ocean Freight team in Felixstowe! In this role, you will manage the seamless coordination of import/export cargo, ensuring top-notch service for customers, overseas partners, and service providers. What Will You Be Doing?
- Overseeing the entire delivery process: from understanding customer needs, booking transport, and coordinating payments to ensuring successful final delivery.
- Monitoring rail and road deliveries daily, ensuring everything runs smoothly and that deliveries are completed on time.
- Striving to maximise potential profits while maintaining customer satisfaction and addressing any accounting issues.
- Handling queries and complaints efficiently and escalating unresolved issues to the department head.
- Reporting any file that risks a loss or a significant profit reduction to the manager.
- Documenting every step of the delivery process accurately for full transparency and accountability.
About You:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding is highly advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills are a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage high workloads, especially in challenging situations.
- Capable of making consistent, well-considered decisions.
- Fast and accurate with data entry.
