Safety Coordinator I, Land

Ensure team member’s compliance with all applicable DOT laws and regulations. Promote a culture of Safety that encourages safe driving and compliance with DOT laws and regulations. Reduction in CSA Basic Scores. Tasks & Responsibilities: • Monitor team member’s compliance with all applicable DOT laws and regulations. • Promote a culture of Safety that encourages safe driving and compliance with DOT laws and regulations. • Maintain DOT regulatory compliance with the Hours of Service Program. • Maintain DOT regulatory compliance with Electric On-Board Recording Device Program. • Communicate directly with operational management specific action plans.

Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: 1-3 years transportation experience, knowledge of DOT and FMCSA. Computer literate, with the ability to grasp new programs and new applications. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other applications skills. Effective communication skills. Knowledge and general understanding of all aspects of transportation logistics business. Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. Able to promote a culture of trust and safety. Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines. Occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects. Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions. Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.
