- Location: Santry, Dublin
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Direct Freight Planner, you will:
- Provide first-class customer service by understanding and meeting client requirements.
- Plan, arrange, monitor, and manage Direct Land Transport (LTL & FTL), ensuring smooth Door-to-Door operations.
- Operate DB Schenker IT systems and Microsoft Office tools efficiently.
- Handle customer invoicing and ensure timely processing of costs and sales.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external trucking partners to optimize load capacity and gross profit across European trade lanes.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback, resolve complaints, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the onboarding of new clients for seamless integration into our operations.
- Comply with all legal, regulatory, and company standards while promoting a safer working environment.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in transport planning, ideally with exposure to European trade lanes and cross-border operations.
- A customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
- Attention to detail and a creative problem-solving approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage customer accounts effectively and maintain up-to-date records.
