    At Schenker International S.A. de C.V. we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to be part of our IT team, for our office in Guadalajara, Mexico, who will be responsible for engineering DB Schenker’s Cloud environments based on a multi-hybrid-cloud  architecture delivered with global processes and tools.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, solutioning, deployment, and management. Will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to ensure optimal  performance, security, and scalability.


    What will be your challenges?

    • Lead the development and execution of the cloud strategy in alignment with business goals. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team. 
    • Develop and implement cloud solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices for performance, security and scalability. 
    • Drive and utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage and automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management, ensuring best practices are followed. 
    • Automate and enhance cloud operations, deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. 
    • Monitor cloud performance, ensuring availability and reliability, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. 
    • Work closely with global, cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing systems and applications. 
    • Mentor and guide junior cloud engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Conduct code review and provide constructive feedback. 
    • Stay ahead with the latest trends and best practices in cloud technology and implement improvements as necessary. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and drive their implementation. 

    What you need to succeed?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields, with a proven track record of leading complex cloud projects. 
    • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or related. 
    • Expertise in OS system either Linux or Windows. 
    • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. 
    • Strong background in DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Python, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes etc.).


    Competences: 

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others. 
    • Deep understanding of networking, security, and cloud governance. 
    • Knowledge of IT security regulations and standards such as ISO 27001 
    • Flexible thinker able to operate in a changing environment 
    • Fluent Business English (written and spoken)
