Trade Lane Manager (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

• You identify opportunities for growth by identifying new customers and growth at existing customers
• Therefore you identify, develop and further expand new profitable Airfreight business, within the given Trade Lane with customers in India and Benelux
• You manage the pipeline in various phases (lead, prospect, negotiations, offer and contract) for new and existing customers and tenders
• You will collect and analyse relevant customer data and keep track of (changing) requirements and wishes on services, market developments, competition, etc. for existing and new customers
• Your strength lies in building relationships with the representatives of countries in the Trade Lane, supporting Sales in customer relations and you handle complaints with an eye for the relationship and commercial interests in cooperation with colleagues
• You will draw up implementation plans for Trade Lane Development and coordinate these with various stakeholders and substantiate the financial and commercial feasibility of new business
• You maintain customer relations during acquisition and implementation phases
• You realise objectives with regard to turnover, margin, return, growth of the Trade Lane
• Preparing and leading negotiations and contract discussions on offers (form, quantity, prices, terms of delivery) is also your responsibility

Your profile:

• You have a completed apprenticeship or degree, ideally in the field of forwarding and logistics services
• You have relevant commercial work experience with focus on Airfreight or operational experience as a forwarding agent
• Ideally you already also gained experiences in the field of Trade Lane within logistics
• You are driven by attracting and developing new business
• You are fluent in English and ideally Hindi or Tamil
• You are willing to travel internationally, especially to India
