    Main Tasks

    • Defines, documents, and conducts IT projects or sub-projects, managing the IT team, actively participating in all phases from initiation to closing.
    • Full responsibility for project including scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
    • Plans and monitors the project budget and resources.
    • Escalates in case of deviations.
    • Identifies, assesses, and manages risks to the success of the project.
    • Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained (including quality, risk, and communications plans), tracks activities against the project schedule, and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, consistent with the methods in use (agile, waterfall, etc.).
    • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, schedule, and resource budgets, and are signed off.
    • Provides effective leadership to the project team and takes appropriate actions where the performance deviates from agreed tolerances.


    General Skills Requirements

    • Personality profile: possesses integrity, uses initiative, has commitment, self-reliant, flexible, ability to work under pressure, is persistent, assertive, emphasis on a quality delivery, willing to travel (10% of time), strategic mindset.
    • People skills: effective communication skills with surrounding teams and project members and suppliers
    • People leadership: sound judgment, coaching/mentoring, able to evaluate staff, and assign tasks according to their skills (for stream lead roles in projects)
    • Critical thinking skills: analysis and structuring of complex issues, flair for pragmatic solutions, priority setting  
    • Languages: Fluent business English (verbal and written), business German, additional languages are plus.


    Knowledge & Experience Requirements

    • 2-4 years of IT project management experience
    • Good understanding of Contract Logistics processes
    • MS Office skills (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Beneficial: Waterfall and Agile project experience.
    • Beneficial: JIRA experience
    • Beneficial: Experiences in change management
    • Beneficial: International project management experience 
    • Beneficial: Experience with communication on top management level
    • Beneficial: Profound knowledge of the European Logistics market
    • Beneficial: Experience in WMS


    Formal Education & Certification

    • College diploma or university degree in the field of Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, Logistics, or comparable working experience
    • Beneficial: Completion of a recognized project management curriculum (e.g., PMI, Prince 2, Scrum Master)
    • Beneficial: certification in IT Management (e.g., ITIL)
