    At Schenker International S.A. de C.V. we are looking for an Ocean Operations Executive (LCL) to be part of our Ocean team, for our office in Querétaro, Mexico.


    What will be your challenges?


    • Manage, review and analyze service orders for SME and Network clients, as well as internal documents (sales/net quotes, letter of instructions, etc.)
    • Validate Air Way Bill, Bill of Landing, DGD, commercial documents, PL (if applicable), etc. documentation and, if errors are found, request the corresponding adjustments to the origin or destination office.
    • Send correct and complete documentation to operations and the client.
    • Review Letter of Instructions and/or COP Light issued by sales executives (as applicable).
    • Respond in a timely manner to the client's requests and requirements, as well as provide advice if required.
    • Notify the client and origin/destination offices of the start and status of shipments until the end of the operation, in accordance with the times and forms previously agreed with the client.

    What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)

    • At least 1 year of experience in Freight Forwarding operations (Air or Sea), Customer Service Trainee.
    • Knowledge of port and airport logistics (loading-unloading maneuvers, transfers, confrontations, etc.). Problem solving and decision making in logistics processes.
    • Basic handling of different types of merchandise (oversized, dangerous, refrigerated).
    • Basic experience in understanding customer needs.
    • Basic knowledge of reading quotes Foreign trade.
    • Handling of export and import documents for different types of cargo (dangerous, perishable, etc.) and air and sea shipments. National and international regulations on merchandise traffic.
    • Correct application of INCOTERMS. Scope, limitations and responsibilities of the Company towards clients and subsidiaries.
    • Geographical knowledge of main ports, airports and international crossings.
    • Coordination of transportation in different modalities, knowing the basic process of customs clearance (import and export).
