    For our globale Head Office in Essen we are looking for you as a Senior Technical Architect (f/m/d).

    Your tasks:

    • You play a pivotal role in shaping the technological infrastructure of the Global IT&D Air and Ocean target application landscape by laying the groundwork for scalable, robust and efficient Systems that is aligned with the company's business goals and scalability for future needs
    • Within ITDAO the Technical Architect delve deep into the technical details while keeping a keen eye on the broader business objectives, ensuring that the architecture designed not only supports current operations but also paves the way for future growth and innovation (technology roadmap)
    • Your translate complex requirements into actionable blueprints for development teams to follow and bridging the gap between strategic vision and technical implementation, to comply with the ITDAO target architecture, meeting corporate standards, and building reuseable capabilities
    • You support the transition / implementation of global application environments to the Schenker Multi hybrid-cloud
    • You ensure high system integrity, security and performance of all delivered infrastructures and services in close alignment the DB Schenker Enterprise Architect and under consideration of IT strategic guidelines
    • You create and maintain the ITDAO platform strategies to avoid Risk and you the solution strategy design considering architectural, technical principles to ensure that ITDAO development initiatives comply with DB Schenker IT architecture principles and ITDAO application Roadmap
    • You design a secure and resilient application technology stack, considering disaster recovery and data protection strategies and you support system performance analysis and optimization to ensure efficiency and quality
    • You asses the impact of the architecture on the organization's cost, resources, and timeline, and make recommendations to optimize these factors
    • You ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and cybersecurity standards within the technological framework
    • You create a repository of architectural assets that can be leveraged for future Projects and you lead research and evaluation of emerging technology trends to determine their potential impact on the organization and how they can innovate the current application Landscape

    Requirements

    Your profile:

    • Study to university degree level in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent education / work experience
    • You bring several years of experience in IT technology and IT architecture of complex applica?tions landscapes, e. g. as a senior technical architect
    • You gained extensive experience with cloud platforms like Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, knowledge in microservices architecture / standard architecture frameworks, e. g. TOGAF, and you are familiar with container?ization and orchestration tools (e. g. Docker, Kubernetes) and a profound experience in different Linux variants (RedHat, SuSe, Ubuntu)
    • You have profound experience in consulting and collaboration with application teams (DevOps mindset) during migrations and / or new deployment of infrastructures for applications in global environments
    • Extensive experience in applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC); preferred applied tool knowledge in IaC and CI-CD-Tooling (like Terraform, CHEF, GIT, Jenkins or comparable)
    • You take responsibility in leading roles, cope with resistance and heterogenous stakeholders and deliver solutions in the best interest of the company
    • You are able to understand new technologies, problems and requirements and have strong capabilities to explain them to others
    • You are fluence in written and spoken English and bring th willingness to travel
    • Knowledge of the logistics industry, specifically Air and Ocean, provides an additional advantage
