Responsibilities:
- Localize global training material where required, aligned with global standards;
- Provide regular onboarding, refresher, and skill-up training for ocean staff and supervisors related to processes and systems (P&S) and ocean freight forwarding;
- Provide process specific training beyond system functionality under guidance of regional P&S for major system deployments and global initiatives/projects;
- Aligned with global standards, regularly execute assessment of the skill & knowledge gaps and take actions to address them within ocean freight operations, while maintaining close cooperation and alignment with the local business units;
- Actively contribute to knowledge and best practice sharing across the global P&S community and relevant platforms;
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of ocean training material;
- Support in investigating and resolving escalations and process challenges;
- Raise and track support tickets for SSC/clusters beyond simple service requests;
- Serves as the first point of contact for end user questions and issues beyond simple service requests;
- Acts as first level of support issue as part of a global expert network;
- Builds and maintains excellent working relationships with internal (within SSC) and external (outside SSC) stakeholders;
- Expert in operating systems used (e.g. TANGO, Tapas).
Qualifications:
- 5 years previous work experience in logistics, with at least one year of supervisory, coaching, or trainer-like experience;
- Good understanding of the business process context and operational environments in global freight forwarding;
- Good understanding of ocean support processes;
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical / business areas or equivalent and relevant work experience;
- Result oriented, self-motivated, flexible, and resilient;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- High attention to detail and sense of accuracy;
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity;
- Excellent understanding of the operating systems used in the team (e.g. TANGO, Tapas);
- Experienced in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point etc.);
- Fluent spoken and written English (academic qualification preferred).
