Position Description Summary:
Responsible for the coordination and consolidation of domestic and international systems to support shipments. Ensure lowest cost transportation is used by analyzing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods, and auditing carrier costs and performances. Interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses. Maintain logs and compile information on routes, rates, and services on various vendors. Analyze and model customer shipment data using computer optimization and modeling applications of i2 technologies and Caps software. Lead participant in data identification and gathering.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
• Analyze rates and optimize shipments using computer optimization and modeling applications
• Participate in software testing to insure that the model is designed and working according to the vision
• Input and maintain an extensive amount of carrier rates and customer profiles and other pertinent data in the i2 TMS system
• Develop and analyze rate packages for all transportation related client bid proposals
• Document data and model architecture
• Maintain rates and customer data in dynamic transportation database
• Assist in RFQ/RFP responses to customers
• Provide general assistance with other transportation-related issues
• Provide routings which guarantee seamless flow of inbound/outbound shipments at pricing levels beneficial to Logistics Advantage and customers
• Plan and resolve warehousing requirements, transportation schedules for stock movement, product packaging requirements, frequency of shipments, vendor and client shipping and receiving locations and transit time requirements
• Determine carrier selection and implementation of routing system for products
• Determine transportation pricing strategies for products
• Assure all information required for pricing strategy is collected, confirmed, and summarized for analysis

Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
This is an entry-level position. Solid interpersonal and analytical skills required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred. Generally prefer 0-2 years of related experience.
