As a Supervisor, you will be operational support by owning and managing the daily activities of the business in a manner that promotes the Health & Safety values of DB Schenker. You will also oversee the operations workflow ensuring the highest standards for quality and cost whilst owning responsibility for coaching your team members. You are a confident negotiator, skilled in resolving issues and serving as a link between employees and upper management.

Hours: 0800 - 1630

What will you be doing?

Maintain continuous focus on employee welfare with specific emphasis on health & safety and housekeeping.
Supervise and organize the daily activities of the warehouse to meet the highest level of customer service and required service levels.
Must have above proficient Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Direct and motivate warehouse team to meet operational goals.
Liaise with customers daily.
Mentor and coach the team to ensure the full performance potential.

About You

Previous supervisory experience in relevant industry and experience in training warehouse staff.
Customer-focused individual with experience in a logistics role within a large organization.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
People management skills – the ability to motivate, coach & develop staff.
Ability to perform under pressure.
IT skills including Microsoft Office products and Warehouse Management systems
Knowledge of SAP and IMI systems.
Understanding of multiple customer processes, including forward logistics, returns, TKM, SIRA, and iStarts.
