- Manage the day-to-day Air Freight warehouse operations.
- Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, and coordinate information with internal stakeholders (e.g., Customer Service, Freight Planner, and Export Operations) and external stakeholders (e.g., air cargo terminals).
- Ensure effective internal controls over the handling of inbound and outbound shipments through the Air Freight warehouse.
- Leverage software and automated equipment (e.g., FME and conveyor dimensioning system) to streamline and improve warehouse processes.
- Plan and optimize warehousing space, organizing shipments efficiently within the warehouse.
- Oversee the inflow and outflow of shipments, loading, and storage activities using inventory control systems and best practices.
- Monitor and track warehouse KPIs for process optimization, customer relations, quality, asset utilization, and cost management.
- Ensure that MHE is well-maintained to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Manage policies and procedures related to security, safety, and health requirements.
- Establish protocols for risk analysis, physical and personnel security, access control, emergency response, and disaster recovery in warehouse operations.
- Manage continuous improvement and change management initiatives for time, cost, and quality improvements.
- Monitor and appraise warehousing team performance based on the established KPI.
- Bachelor’s Degree holder in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with at least five years of working experience.
- Familiar with air freight operations
- Lean Six Sigma qualification will have added advantage.
- Positive mindset, team player and high desire for learning.
- Detail oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying and addressing operational challenges.
- A self-starter who is resourceful and innovative in driving continuous improvement.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, high-volume warehouse setting with a commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Willingness to address operational issues outside of office hours as needed.
