    * Responsible and accountable for leading the Financial Controlling Team
    * Accountable for coordination of external audit activities
    * Support the design and implementation of overall finance transformation initiatives
    * Accountable for financial controlling of all financial figures and non-financial information on a Cluster and Group level, including ensuring that all figures are substantiated
    * Accountable for ensuring financial controlling support to the accounting team in respect to month-end closing and reporting
    * Accountable for preparing all information for financial statements to managed service provider
    * Accountable for controlling and verifying compliance with policies and procedures relating to finance processes
    * Accountable for ensuring financial controlling support to the accounting team on accounting treatment of transactions
    * Oversee the day-to-day activities and efficiency of all financial controllers in the team
    * Contributes to a working environment and culture which drives the desired mindset of all financial controlling team members
    * Reports to Finance key operational KPIs on a periodic basis
    * Adopts world class trends, and best practices in financial controlling with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement
    * Support the RTR GPO with continually enhancing quality and reducing cost by streamlining processes, procedures, and automation
    * Supports other General Ledger staff as well as financial controlling team members in resolving issues raised by them
    * Defines performance goals at the start of the year in coordination with the head of F&A delivery
    * Monitors work quality and escalate any operational issues in a timely manner
    * Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

    Requirements

    * Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
    * 5-7 years of experience in a financial controlling or accounting position with ability to manage stakeholders and employees in an international context
    * Preferably some knowledge of IFRS
    * Strong understanding of Finance Accounting, Controlling processes
    * Experience with Finance / Accounting ERP systems
    * Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work and to generate alternatives and solutions
    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach toward business issues
    * Knowledge and understanding of financial and business management principles with the ability to communicate and prioritize business requirements
    * Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
    * Must be highly skilled in MS Office
    * Fluent English language skills at a business level

    Our offer

    The role holder is accountable and responsible for managing a financial controlling team as well as performing finance controlling for DB Schenker clusters. In addition, they are key contact person for the external auditors as well as the business controllers. The Senior financial controller is responsible for coordinating and managing the teams' relation and support to both internal and external stakeholders, as well as have the overall management accountability and responsibility of both teams, including on-the-job training/development.
